About this app
Point your phone at the barcode on a packet and Open Food Facts tells you what is inside it: the ingredients, the additives, the Nutri-Score and the eco-score. The answers come from a free food database that shoppers all over the world have built together, one product at a time.
If something you scan isn't in there yet, you can add it yourself by photographing the packet and its label. The data is open, so anyone is free to use it — this app is just one window onto it.
Looking a product up needs an internet connection, and a barcode nobody has entered yet will come back empty. That is your cue to add it.
