What it looks like
About this app
ntfy lets anything on your network buzz your phone. A backup that failed, a long job that finished, someone logging into your server — one simple web request and the message arrives. You do not need an account to start.
You subscribe to a topic name in the app, and anything that knows that name can post to it, from a one-line curl command in a shell script to a PowerShell task or your own program. You can use the free ntfy.sh service or point the app at an ntfy server you run yourself.
The sending side needs a little setup by you — a line added to a script, or a webhook from whatever tool you want alerts from. The free ntfy.sh tier has daily message limits and there are paid plans above it; a server of your own has no limits, but it is yours to look after.
