About this app
APRSdroid is for licensed amateur radio operators. It reports your position to APRS, the amateur radio position-reporting network, shows other stations near you on a map, and lets you send and receive short APRS messages.
That makes it useful for keeping a group in sight on a trip, for club events and public service work, or for anyone who would rather their location went out over amateur radio than through a commercial tracking service.
You need an amateur radio licence and your own callsign to take part — this is not a general-purpose location sharing app.
